✨ Ops Agent for Building Pipelines

Overview

The Ops Agent for Pipelines introduces an AI-driven, conversational interface for creating, managing, and optimizing data pipelines directly inside the IOMETE Lakehouse Platform.
Instead of manually configuring complex workflows, users can simply describe what they want in natural language, and the Ops Agent automatically generates the corresponding pipeline — including tasks, dependencies, schedules, and configurations.
This dramatically accelerates pipeline creation, improves accessibility for less technical users, and ensures best practices are automatically applied in every workflow.

Planned Features

• Natural Language to Pipeline Builder: Users describe workflows in plain text (e.g., “Ingest daily sales data, transform it, and update the analytics table”), and the system generates a valid, executable pipeline.
• AI-Assisted Task Configuration: Automatically identify task types (SQL, Spark job, ingestion event, notebook) and populate parameters.
• Inline Pipeline Editor Chat: Conversational interface embedded in the orchestration UI for iterative refinement (“add a validation step before saving,” “run this hourly”).
• Error Explanation & Auto-Fix: Detect configuration issues or missing dependencies and offer one-click fixes.‍
• AI Pipeline Review: Automatically review pipelines for best practices, cost, and governance compliance before publishing.
